What does it mean to edit with care across worldviews, identities and structural pressures? Grounded in Catherine Richardson’s concept of Métis third space, this webinar offers editors a framework for conscious, relational editing. We’ll explore how colonial assumptions shape editing practices, how to make room for oral and culturally rooted forms, and how to engage voice without erasure. Through theoretical grounding, case studies, and reflective tools, participants will gain tangible strategies to approach language with greater ethical awareness, humility and care.
